SUMMARY:Flower Power - Color Outside the Lines Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes art is messy\, so get ready to get your hands dirty\, literally. Consider your pot of dirt the blank canvas for your next art project. Choose from a variety of this season’s annual flowers for the sun or shade. Arrange them to your liking and pack your pot with dirt. What a great way to welcome the spring season and add some beautiful blossoms to a porch\, patio\, or deck near you. April showers bring May flowers\, so we are right on time with this next workshop. This will brighten up your space or make a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift.

SUMMARY:Audiobook Club - Heartwood
DESCRIPTION:We’re turning the page for book club\, and we’re onto our second book! \nFeatured Book for June\nHeartwood\nby Amity Gaige\nBARD # DB128729 \nIn the heart of the Maine woods\, an Appalachian Trail hiker goes missing. She is 42-year-old Valerie Gillis\, who has vanished 200 miles from her destination. Alone in the wilderness\, Valerie pours her heart into fractured\, poetic letters to her mother as she battles the elements and struggles to keep hoping. At the heart of the investigation is Beverly\, the determined Main State Warden tasked with finding Valerie on the ground. Meanwhile\, Lena\, a 76-year-old birdwatcher in a Connecticut retirement community\, becomes an unexpected armchair detective. Rolling between these compelling narratives\, a puzzle emerges\, intensifying the frantic search\, as Valerie’s disappearance may not be accidental. The mystery inspires larger questions about the many ways we get lost and how we are found. \nOur audiobook club will feature books available on BARD. Books will be chosen by and discussions led by different book club members. Meetings will take place at various coffee shops in the Omaha metro area accessible by public transportation. Exact locations will be shared with registered participants. Meetings will take place every other month on a Saturday. Attending the meeting is free\, but coffee is not included.

SUMMARY:Tandem Bike Club - Night Ride for Ice Cream (Ages 18+)
DESCRIPTION:It’s time for everyone’s favorite bike ride of the year! We’ve found the best way to beat the heat is with an ice cream treat! This ride takes place in the evening\, leaving from Outlook. We’ll pedal 5 miles to Culver’s for ice cream\, chill out for a little bit\, then ride back to Outlook as the sun sets. This is a 10-mile ride at your own pace with a break in the middle\, making it perfect for avid bikers and first timers alike. Outlook provides bikes\, helmets\, and volunteer bike partners/captains\, or you are welcome to bring your own bike or biking partner. We have both standard and recumbent bikes available. A standard tandem is designed like a typical upright bike\, but it has 2 seats. A recumbent has 2 seats\, like a chair\, and 3 wheels. This is a great style of bike for new bikers or bikers with balance or mobility challenges. \nWe’re saving a seat for you! Get signed up today.

SUMMARY:Vision Beyond Sight 2026 Gala
DESCRIPTION:A Night of Honor\, Unity\, and Independence \n\nJoin us as we celebrate the enduring American spirit\, honoring both the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. This special evening will recognize the bravery\, resilience\, and unity that define our nation while reaffirming our commitment to individuals navigating vision loss today. \n\n\nMany of our clients describe feeling alone on their journey. Together\, we can remind them that\, much like America itself\, they never stand alone. Through community\, support\, and opportunity\, we continue to empower individuals of all ages living with vision loss to live with confidence\, independence\, and hope. \n\nEvent Details\nHonoring 9/11 & Celebrating America’s 250th \n\nAs we reflect on the courage shown on and after September 11\, 2001\, and celebrate 250 years of American independence\, we invite you to join us for an evening dedicated to service\, perseverance\, freedom\, and unity. This year’s gala will feature stories from a veteran whose life was forever changed on and after 9/11\, reminding us of the strength found in community and the enduring power of hope. \n\n\nTogether\, we honor the past\, celebrate the present\, and help build a brighter future for individuals living with vision loss. \nFeatured Event \nDessert in the Dark is part of our gala experience. Guests wear sleep shades while sampling dessert without sight. The experience is designed to shift attention away from visuals and toward the full experience of the dessert itself. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on accessibility and inclusion\, and to deepen understanding of vision impairment in a thoughtful\, respectful way. \n\nPlease note: Guests are welcome and encouraged to dress in theme (coming soon). Registration will close on Thursday\, October 22\, 2026. \nHow You Can Make an Impact\nYour participation makes a meaningful impact. Whether you sponsor a table\, contribute a silent auction item\, or attend the event\, your support helps fund vital programs that empower individuals of all ages living with vision loss. Table sponsorships include seating for eight guests. \nFor sponsorship or silent auction donation opportunities\, please contact Nina Rongisch\, Executive Director of Outlook Enrichment\, at 531-365-5342. \n\n  \nRegistration Coming Soon
