Join us for an evening of inspiration\, connection\, and powerful storytelling\, a reminder that no one faces vision loss alone. \nTogether\, we’ll raise awareness\, fund innovative resources\, and support inclusive opportunities that foster independence\, education\, and creative expression. Through this event\, we aim to shine a light on the brilliance within every person\, regardless of sight. \nGala Chairs\nThe gala is proudly hosted by Friends of Outlook\, along with Event Chairs Cassie Jetter and Mary Fran Willard. \nEvent Details\nOne of the most impactful and memorable moments of our gala is Dessert in the Dark. During this unique experience\, guests are invited to wear sleep shades while sampling dessert\, challenging them to rely on their other senses. This immersive activity provides a powerful insight into the daily realities faced by individuals with vision loss\, fostering awareness and a deeper appreciation for our mission. \nAdditionally\, we will honor our Associate and Volunteer of the Year\, as well as our Peter J. Salmon Award Nominee\, and offer immersive activities for all guests to enjoy throughout the evening. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.\, and business casual attire is encouraged. \nPlease note that registration will close on Friday\, October 24\, 2025. \nHow You Can Make an Impact\nYour participation makes a meaningful impact. We’ll have chili\, cash prizes\, and a great time\, as always.

SUMMARY:Family and Friends Ice Skating with the Lancers
DESCRIPTION:It’s so nice to be invited back to the ice! This will be our 3rd annual Friends and Family Ice Skate with the Omaha Lancers hockey team at their home ice rink. No skill required. We’ve have a way for you to participate\, no matter what. Skate with a Lancer player\, skate with a chair for balance\, skate with your cane\, or have a seat and get pushed around! You’re also welcome to come and watch\, or enjoy lunch provided by the Lancers. This is a free event for blind and low vision ice skaters and Lancer fans\, along with their friends and family.
