Cookie Rose Bouquets – Color Outside the Lines Art Workshop

Combine your love for cookies with your love for flowers this Valentine’s Day! We will turn homemade chocolate chip cookies into long-stem roses for a bouquet that is sure to steal your heart. This would make a great gift for that special someone or an even better treat for yourself. Warning, while we will not be breaking any hearts during this art workshop, there is a good chance some cookies will be broken, and we are relying on our participants to get rid of the evidence, so please BYOM (bring your own milk)!

This event is open to participants ages 15+.

Self-Defense **time change**

When it comes to self-defense, it is better to have the skills and not need them than to need them and not have them. Get prepared with a couple of techniques that could keep you alive if you find yourself in a tough situation. We will work in small groups, guided by the team at Taekwondo America.

This event will no longer be a two-part class. It will instead be taking place on Saturday, January 24 only from 9:45 a.m. until noon.

Golf Simulator Practices (Saturdays January thru May)

Yes, it’s already time FORE golf! We’re getting into the swing of things early on the golf simulator in preparation for the 2026 golf season. Join us Saturday mornings for putting practice and golf simulator sessions with a small group of other blind and low vision golfers. Experienced golf volunteers will lead practices. We will wrap up the practices with a day at an outdoor driving range and a day at a local 3-par golf course.

Practices will run from January through May on varying Saturday mornings from approximately 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The entire schedule is TBD, but you can mark your calendar for the following days to start:

Outlook has a set of clubs available, or you can bring your own if you prefer. In April and May, the practices will be more frequent. Most practices will take place at Outlook’s golf simulator located at 4125 S 72nd St. Driving range practice and the round of golf at a 3-par course will take place off-site.

Family and Friends Bowling Bash (All Ages)

It’s your official first party of the new year!! From strikes to gutter balls, get ready to let it roll. Blind and low vision bowlers are welcome to come solo or bring friends and family. You can sign up for an individual slot or reserve your own lane by selecting the “family” option. Your shoes and two hours of bowling are included, along with, most importantly, adaptations to ensure blind bowlers can independently navigate up to the bowling lane and get lined up before launching the ball. Top it all off with pizza and pop, and you’re definitely going to start 2026 off right with your friends from Outlook!

Then plop down with your comfiest blanket to watch this feature film on the big screen or listen with audio description. Treat yourself to dinner and plenty of popcorn with your Outlook friends!
