Axe and you shall receive…due to popular demand, we have scheduled another axe throwing adventure. Chop down the boredom and sharpen your skills with instruction from Outlook’s adaptive sports specialist. Their instruction will ensure your technique and aim are on target. Stand back, aim, and get ready to launch. Then, based on where your axe splits the wood, you’ll be able to adapt and adjust until you stick a bullseye. We’re going full lumberjack mode. No flannels or vision are required.
Look out, Old Market, the Outlook crew is coming your way via the Omaha Patio Ride! This is a 16-passenger party bike powered by your pedaling. Don’t worry, there is a safe, sighted, sober employee from Omaha Patio Ride steering, while the rest of us get the wheels spinning, enjoy adult beverages, turn up the tunes, and make a pit stop for pizza. This is a 21+ event. Please note: participants can bring beer or malt beverages (no glass or liquor).
It’s time to play ball! Join us for our annual baseball workshop and beeping kickball game designed for athletes with vision loss. This event is open to all ages, skill levels, friends, and family.
Participants will rotate through stations to practice batting, base running, and live pitching with Iowa Reapers beep baseball team members. Then, everyone will step up to the plate for a game of beeping kickball, wearing sleep shades to even the playing field. With beeping balls and bases, this game is a great time for all. Plus, pizza afterward makes it a homerun for everyone!
This event is for all ages and friends and family.
$10 per individual
$20 per family
Braille and Large Print BINGO (Ages 21+)

For just a $10 cash buy-in at the door, you unlock your chance at cash prizes, plus food, drinks, fun, and friends. BINGO cards are available in Braille and large print, or a card reader can be provided if you prefer. We’ll even make room at the table for your sighted friends or family members if they want to come too. Kick off your Saint Patty’s Day party plans with Outlook. No luck required!
Please register in advance to help us plan for food, drinks, and seating. The cost is $10 per person, payable at the door.
Teen Rec Tee Off
The golf course might not be green, but here’s your chance to hit the golf scene! We’ve booked a tee time for teens with vision loss at our private golf simulator. Whether you are brand new to golf or have participated in our golf academy in the past, we feel this activity will be perfect FORE you. You will get one-on-one guidance and coaching from Outlook’s adaptive sports specialists. Practice putting, chipping, and driving with different types of clubs and a mix of exercises with other low-vision golf enthusiasts. No experience or clubs are needed.
Golf Simulator League (Feb. 15 through April 26)
Get in the swing of things before it’s time to hit the greens this spring. Practice with the guidance of an experienced golfer on our private golf simulator. We will rotate a small group through driving, using irons, chipping, and putting. You do not need to have your own clubs. We will work our way up to playing actual golf courses on the simulator. This league is for anyone from former golfers to beginners. After completing this practice league, our next session will include playing a couple local par 3 courses. It’s cold outside, so we’re turning up the heat at Outlook’s indoor golf simulator!
