7th Annual White Cane Day Happy Hour

Whether you carry a white cane or use a guide dog, whether you’re totally blind or low vision, whether you’re new to vision loss or an old pro…October 15th is our day to celebrate! National White Cane Day was established to recognize the independence that comes with using a mobility device like a straight white cane. This will be our 8th year getting together as a loud and proud group of blind folks.

Every year we pick a new location, and this year will be Noli’s Pizzeria in Blackstone. It is a family-friendly restaurant serving whole pizzas or pizza by the slice. You order and pay at the counter, so separate checks will be so easy. We’d love for as many people as possible to stop by, grab a slice, sit down, and say hi to other members of your blind community. Come alone, come with a friend, come with your family. Just make sure you come!

Come and go as your schedule allows. You will be responsible for your own food and drinks, but please register or RSVP to Megan (402-350-4121) by October 8 so we can give the great guys and gals at Noli’s a heads-up on how many people to expect.
